How to Change your password and ideas for better passwords

 Below are some ideas for creating more complex passwords along with steps for how to change your password.  Changing your password is best done in the office.  Thanks!

 

Ideas for new passwords:

Choose 4 random words - SeattleBooksCoffeePlanes

Use an entire phrase - I catch the no. 47 bus 2 work

Create acronyms - IoaVW,wa52p  From:   I own a VolksWagen, with a 52 plate

Deliberately mispell words - ILykeCheezBurgurs

Create a formula - 2Weeks=14Days

 

Making your existing password stronger:

 

Add spaces or brackets - Was:  SeattleHuskys  Now:  SeattleH(us)kys

Add a random word - Was:  Sarah1974    Now: Sarah1974Bristul

Repeat the password - Was: Sarah1974  Now:  Sarah1974Sarah1974

Turn it into an email address - Was:  Apples   Now: me@Apples.amazon

 

Your new password must meet the complexity rules below.

Password should consist of at least 8 characters.
Passwords must not contain username.
Last 4 passwords can't be reused.
 Password must contain characters from 3 of the following categories: Uppercase Letters, Lowercase letters, number and symbols
